Wael Atta - "Waffle"
My quiet cool close friend, Wael is a "No pain, No gain" master of the saying, he does what he says and says what he does. He is into Skydiving, cars and the ever changing stock exchange division. Wael is known to use abbreviations in his common language
i.e "Np" = No problem - "Brb" = Be right back. He has a sickening crave for sheesha "Nargila" and would smoke it till he's dying at 132. Salutes to the Waffle!
Sherwet - "Sherbert Sherry"
"Here's your bag of sherberts" This crazy little lady is one hell of a driving force. She is smart, casual, modern and has a curfew of 10:30 PM. Sherry's secret addictions are two things, fantastic sushi with a secret ingredient called GooGoo. If you're ever in need to talk to someone, she is always there to listen. A good ear for any good given year! "Have a Sherbert"
Samy - Tamweena
The Big man with a big heart. Also helps out a lot when there is a shortage on smoke material hence the name "Tamweena" which means help in a time of need.
I met Samy back in 2000. A true heavy metal fan and a well mannered gentleman.
He has an extremely hilarious sense of humor and would probably be one the leading actors in a comedy sitcom if he ever took up acting seriously. He is also one of the members of our infamous 300 Egyptian spoof. An essential being here in the plastic prison who will make you laugh out your lungs!
Marwa Mostafa
This cat is an ambitious marketeer working for P&G, I met Marwa when I hosted some guests when I first got here. Marwa cooks the best selection of those nice hot Egyptian dishes we crave so much back home. She can make outstanding "Molokheya" and tender chicken pieces. She's also got a sense of style and home decoration if you need help with getting your house re-designed, she's the pro with the show!
Omar Tarek
My right-hand man. Also my financial advisor. Met Omar through his twisted cousin at a young advertising award ceremony in media city in a cold out door setting, I remember it was god damn freezing and I was almost covering my-self with table cloth. Omar is quite a decent young fellow and very generous, trust me ladies he knows how to treat a woman, but I think he is just the bashful type in a way.
P.S - We gotta do something about his dad, he calls him directly at 12:00 am for
dinner, talk about the middle-eastern version of cinderella.
Sherif Shaheed "Sheepy"
Lady-killer, Don Juan, Romeo, Casanova and also my Drummer to mention a few names.
Met Sherif at the rehearsing studio in Cairo when me and my band were auditioning for drummers. He went in and played Dieski's "Surf Or sWim" like a hot knife through butter.
Amazing what this little sheep does. Also very popular among the ladies. Gotta hand it to him he is one bad ass motherfucker.
Rachy Red-Head Rachel
Met on one of my holiday visits to Dubai in 2005. She's the girl in town, knows all the places and faces, not fake though, she tends to keep her cool & authenticity. The first girl I knew who was into Egyptian football. Rachy works at Emirates today and has a unique skill in writing and reporting events she experiences first hand cuz her devious deadly red hair gets her into just about anywhere. She's also got some what we Egyptians call "Gad3ana" luv ya Rachy Rach!
Ayman Nawar - Aymanoff
The crispy cool big man! Laughing boy! Always loves his walks around the mall and his favorate place - Shu Cafe'. Ayman used to be..and probably still is one of the oldest members of the Sadek group "Saedek": is the old Ahwa or coffee shop that me and my friends used to hang out at during our college years. Ayman is a real estate kind of man working for Define properties - the fine properties, heh heh, I gave him that. Sputnik Patrick von Aymanoff!!
Ines Noussa
What can I say ? The sweetest Tunisian flower on the face of the earth. Her big heart and wild, imagination add color to anything and everything. She is funny & outgoing and so caring.
A person you can really trust, with a morning smile like a shower of golden sunshine rays.
She is obsessed with tanning and playing racket all day by the seaside and trust me she pack quite a wallop as well. What's really fascinating as well is how she switches her arabic dialect swiftly from Egyptian, to Lebanese, to Syrian to Tunisian and of course her number one language..french, still learning alot from her, if you need to boost up your french, Ines is the person that will make sure you not just speak well, but become the next Sarcozi too :)
Sawah - Safah "Killer"
Creature of the night. This picture was taken after his feud with a deadly beast " A Rottweiler"
which he tried to pet and play with which resulted in what you see before you. Safah's favorite hang out is the Irish pub, he is laid-back and slick, has a way of his own. Could be a bit of a lazy bum sometimes but our night out wouldn't be cool without the master of coolness.
Marco & Mariam(left)
The terrible twosome, you can say they have a love-hate relationship. I adore Mariam, and Marco is one wacky metal head monster with his accent. You can get half of what he is saying but when he gets there "The intoxicated state of mind" meet me in hell if you understand what he's saying! Mariam works at Zenith media. She puts too much time and effort into her job which doesn't get us to see much of her. Marco works for Virgin Megastores in Burjuman.
The two are radical and spontaneous, quite moody too but I always have a great time with them both, as long as it doesn't end in a bloodbath!
Harry - D
I've known this bloke since I was a kid in school. From 1995 I guess. Harry is a Damac sales executive, working with alot of running money. First bumped into him when I was here on Vacation at the old Peppermint club at the fairmont. We were both pissed out of our brains and it was awesome to see him there, so with good energy comes great energy and we continued getting trashed the entire night till I forgot that I even met him there. Harry and I have a habit of stealing free liquor when it comes to the end of any house part going on somewhere. My partner in crime! Spin a turntable for Harry - D.

One of my favorite couples ask why? One is a star football player who's passion is not just the game, but every moment leading to the game itself. And a Syrian beauty combined with a radiance of intelligence. They both make a super power couple and I salute them!
